The brass is very clean & somewhat shiny & clean is all I am concerned with. I have switched to a product called Greased Lighting ($5/gallon) & you can use it 3 times/batches. Webnecessary if I intended to forego using my ultrasonic cleaner and use the tumbler; look around for a source of smaller ceramic media or give stainless steel (SS) cut. wire pins a try.
