Way DIFFERENT CLASS of vehicle, most likely has 1,000 - 1,500 lbs in MORE weight than a 1/2 ton. 3/4 tons also have firmer suspension, they tend to ride empty, umm, well LIKE A TRUCK. 1/2 tons tend to have a softer suspension hence a softer smoother ride when empty. That's just my opinion but I feel much more comfortable towing with them connected.
