One is the preview cache as mentioned above, which is stored with your catalog file and used for the library view, and the other is the Camera RAW cache. When you switch to the Develop view, Lightroom loads the image data into its “Camera RAW cache”. WebFirst, locate your Folders pane on the left side of the Library module of Lightroom. Then click the + button in the top-right corner and choose “Add Folder…” This is going to let you create a new folder for storing your images. In this case, navigate to your external drive and create a new folder at that location.
